When I started this Network Marketing thing, I really had no idea what I was getting into.

We've all seen the posts on Facebook... "share this to win", "which dress should I wear, A, B, C or D?" with an image of the choices, "Like this post if you love cake!". If I don't click it does that mean I don't like cake? This is known as "engagement bait". They are meant to boost posts algorithms higher so that more people will see it in their newsfeed, obtaining a higher "reach". Facebook announced yesterday (Dec, 18 2017) that, starting this week, they will begin demoting individual posts from people and pages that use engagement bait. This means that anyone using "engagement bait" will be penalized in Facebook's algorithms which determines which posts show up in the news feed.

When it comes to personal development we like to explore all avenues of learning. Podcasts are an amazing resource because you can basically listen to them anywhere. Need to get your 10 minutes of daily PD in? Pop on an episode of one of these 7 podcasts in your car on your way to work. Maybe you need to get some exercise? Go for a walk and get some PD in through your ear buds. Getting ready in the morning? I know I've been obsessed with listening to covers of Linkin Park's 'Heavy' on repeat, but if you won't have time to read a book or listen to a podcast later, throw an episode on instead.

You're in the business of people and your existing customers are your #1 source of income whether they are purchasing from you or eventually taking on the business themselves with you as their sponsor. As a network marketer you always want to expand your network, but at the same time you have to keep your existing ones strong. Your customer service skills need to be fine tuned to do so! It's what keeps people coming back to you, even though someone else they know might be selling the same thing.
