We hear things like ‘the market is over saturated’, ‘nobody wants my stuff’, I could go on and on. The truth is, what these people aren’t realizing is: People don’t want things, they want solutions. They want experiences. They want to buy from YOU, not your company. I’ll tell you right now, every other woman in my town of 67,000 people sells products from my previous company. We are all in business to have better lives, be it for ourselves or our families; there is no room for competition in Network Marketing. The most detrimental thing you can do is compare yourself to others, they are not you, and they are not on your journey. They face hardships that may be similar to yours but THEY ARE NOT YOU. When I use the term ‘slight edge’, I am referring to the thing or things that set you apart from every other person in this business.
I am a Certified Makeup Artist in Medicine Hat. That is part of my slight edge. I knew that in a market where we have a ton of ladies hustling, I needed to expand on what I love. Taking this course taught me everything I need to know about makeup application as well as skincare and how to properly solve a lot of people’s technique issues. I now offer online tutorials, in person tutorials as well as makeup applications. People know that I know my craft and trust that I am selling them premium products. My slight edge also gave me the confidence boost that I needed to be certain that I know what I am talking about when I am teaching my clients and customers how to properly care for their skin or apply their new foundation without caking and flaking. I also have the ability to quickly troubleshoot and solve any problems that my clients may be having with product. This course gives me my edge. This was also an incredible way to expand my network. When people hire me for applications, I use all of my company's products. More often than not, clients ask me what I have used on them and then purchase a couple things that I recommend.
This slight edge helps to grow my business in a plethora of ways. It not only increases my monthly PRS it grows my network, and ensures that I can train all of #glowgetternation to have the knowledge and tricks of the trade that they need to be successful.
I am in no way saying that if you work for a spice company you should become a red seal chef, I’m simply saying that you should find something you love that will set you apart. Something that helps people see why they NEED to do business with you and not the other guy over there.
