Over the past 4 weeks I've shared tips, tricks and tools to get you to start showing up online. Digging a bit deeper into that, it's a lot more than just showing up online. Ultimately, it's about showing up to your business consistently, making new connections, forming and maintaining relationships and creating a safe space for your ideal clients to keep up with you. It's about your potential clients and networking connections liking, knowing and trusting you, stepping out of your comfort zone, being and growing into the amazing business person that you are! This is your foundation to a successful business. So let's review: Part 1 To show up online you have to have an online presence. Take time out of your day to make sure you posting, commenting, liking, pinning, re-tweeting etc. Make sure you find spaces like Facebook groups and forums to connect to likeminded people. Create your OWN groups. Get in to paid membership sites. Attract readers to your blog with free lead opt ins or newsletter sign ups. BE PRESENT & MEET NEW PEOPLE! Part 2 Meeting new people and maintaining relationships can be a bit daunting at first, but fret not! There are plenty of ways to attract readers, meet new people, and maintain those relationships. Host free challenges, run giveaways, create offers, follow and comment on other blogs, create guest posts, & collaborate and partner on projects with other leaders. Even if someone you connect with doesn't have need of your services, it is more than likely they will know someone that does. Don't dismiss the power of the referral! Treat everyone as though they could be a client! Part 3 Get offline. You know, meet or talk to people in real life via face to face or phone call. Offer free mini sessions, attend live events, conferences, networking or meet up events, and SHARE what you do with EVERYONE you meet! Part 4 All of this requires you to work your business. Make sure you are creating new programs and services, listen to the needs of your potential clients and cater to that. Send out a survey to really get to know what they want, create a follow up program, use discounted group programs or services to get people in the door to your business, and CONNECT WITH PEOPLE EVERY DAY! Do not underestimate the power of the relationships you make. Take this advice and RUN. Run with it so hard. It's okay to trip or stumble but make sure you get back up and keeping going. THIS TAKES TIME. It's important to be patient. This is the most underrated trait to have. It could take a year or more to build your client base, your tribe or group. Patience & Consistency. This is the magic sauce to your building your business and showing up online. Would there be any interest in seeing a work book to accompany these blog posts? Let me know in the comments!
