Part of being an influencer online, or a social seller, is to build up trust with your audience. If you’re only recommending what you’re selling - it can look a little *biased*.
Sharing what you love isn’t just about the products you sell. It’s about the things in your life that make it easier, more fun, add value to your life, or supplement something that you are selling. These are things that will bring value to your audience's lives! Whether you have a VIP Facebook group, a business page, or share on your wall / Instagram / TikTok / YouTube, etc. People will be attracted to your content and what you have to say when you’re sharing a variety of products, brands, etc. When you recommend something that you love, they try it, they love it, they trust you. So when it comes to selling your own brand - your community already has that trust in your opinion.
So what other things can you share to bring VALUE to your audience? Well, it 100% depends on what you love and what your personal brand is. I am going to give you the lowdown on what I do, and how you can translate this into your own content.
I am a Farmasi Beauty Influencer. I sell beauty products, skincare, haircare, fragrances, cleaning products, and more. So what other things do I recommend to people and what kind of other content do I make to build that ‘Like Know Trust’ Factor online.
As a makeup lover, I have a TON of makeup - not just in the makeup that I share with Farmasi, but many other brands that I love as well. I use these products in my makeup looks and share what I use on my Instagram and my Facebook Business Page. I always tag the brands that I use and share them in my stories. More often than not, the brands will repost my looks in their stories, which further my reach on my Instagram allowing me to get new followers and interact with new people that are also interested in makeup. Using and sharing other brands also brings in a lot more engagement on my posts as well.
I not only do this with makeup, but I share my shopping hauls as well. Did you go to Marshall’s and pick up something awesome? Share it with your audience! How does it work? Does it work well for what you bought it for? How much was it? Where did you get it? Show us a demonstration! Make a Tik Tok / Reel out of it!
