Well well, Hello to all my lady bosses out there in #glowgetter land! How are y'all doing?
How many of you are huge into Personal Development? If not, why not? Are you scared to get into it? Or do you feel like it will tell you everything you have done up until now has been wrong for your business? Let me tell you, as long as you show up and make the effort and do what your customers like, then you have nothing to worry your pretty little face over!
So let's kick this off, shall we?? Here is one of my top 5 PD books I own!!
#GIRLBOSS - By Sophia Amoruso
I dont wanna give the book away, so I am just gonna come in and touch on a few things to give you an idea of what is in store if you check out this sweet read!
This woman is nothing short of amazing. Within 8 years she went from being a broke ass who was dead set on smashing the system, to a full on Millionaire Business Woman!! She goes on to tell you almost every step on how she made this all happen. Does this book not sound kick ass?? If you have never heard of this woman, she was the one who started Nasty Gal Vintage which was an online ebay store back in the early 90's.
To think this all started with 1 single item of clothing ... Yes, I said 1!!
#GirlBoss is really showing you that you can learn from all of your mistakes.
No jokes here, it's for real! It will teach you how to always ask the questions and take nothing at a face value, to know when to follow the rules and when to say screw it and make your own. It's gonna help you pin point your weaknesses and how to play to your strengths. The book will also touch base with how life has a certain irony to it. Take Sophia for instance; She started this online biz and could work from home all alone, but spoke to more people in 1 workday then she used to in one whole month!!
In conclusion, this book is helping to teach you how to grow and expand as a person as well as your circle! Find your way of how you like to do things and then keep growing off what you have done. Don`t become bored because you think what you're doing is not working...
Get up, get out, try new things and set out to slay, baby, slay!
What did this book teach me? Be your true authentic self and never be scared to show the true you. People buy you when they place that order or ask you for advice.
